Frequently Asked Questions

The Inca Trail permits are limited to 500 people per day and sell out quickly. We recommend booking 6-8 months in advance, especially for dry season (May-September).

Good physical fitness is essential. You should be able to hike 6-8 hours daily with a daypack. Regular cardio exercise and practice hikes with elevation gain are recommended.

Altitude can affect anyone. We include acclimatization time in the Sacred Valley. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and consider consulting your doctor about altitude medication.

We provide tents, sleeping mats, dining tent, and all meals. You need to bring your own sleeping bag. Our porters carry camping equipment and prepare excellent meals.

The trail operates year-round except February (maintenance closure). Weather can be unpredictable, so proper rain gear is essential. Our guides are experienced in all conditions.
